This is an excellant starter track set.
I bought it for my granddaughter so she would leave her big brothers sets alone!

My kids love these. I’m not sure why the company name changed or what. But they are just like the Tomy brand that we bought. The kids did want to get the new track though even though we had tons of the blue tracks. My children have take along, wooden thomas & trackmaster and by far they love the trackmaster the best because they are battery powered. We do go through battries but the kids love it. This was one of the best buys we made.

I had this gift dropshipped to a special little boy in Calif. Reports are that his was delighted. Definately recommend.

This is a very simple train set, excellent value as a starter set if you’re unsure if the kid you’re getting it for will like trains. If he/she already has other train sets, this is probably too simple for them; its just one loop of track.
I got it for my 4-year old nephew, and he loved it. Like most boys his age, he likes to improvise and hold down the train still or drag it backwards on the track while its motor is trying to propel it forward. Though I cringed at that, the train still continued to run when he let it go. That’s a big plus in my book for its durability. However, the manual brake on the track at the ‘station’ which is supposed to lift the train off the track to keep it from moving did not work. He didn’t seem to mind though.
Perhaps the biggest surprise for us all was that my sister’s 5-month old daughter was totally enthralled by it. She’d scream each time her cousin held back the train from moving, and hop up and down excitedly while it moved on the track, while trying to reach out to it when it passed her. That sight alone made it a worthwhile buy.
BTW, if you’re wondering who ‘Thomas’ is, you’ve probably never met a 3-yr-old in a long time.
