I'm not sure why the company name changed or what. But they are just like the Tomy brand that we bought. The kids did want to get the new track though even though we had tons of the blue tracks. My children have take along, wooden thomas & trackmaster and by far they love the trackmaster the best because they are battery powered. We do go through battries but the kids love it.
