This wooden set is easily adaptable and can be used to expand and enhance other sets in the same category. My 3-year-old grandson loves this kind of track.

My 3 year old son really enjoys playing with this new train set. He especially like the crane. I think the bridge is the coolest part.
The track works with the other Thomas and Brio wooden tracks, although sometimes the fit between the different brands it just a bit less than perfect. No worries though, the trains still roll on.

Whenever I babysit I would watch my Grandson playing more with his sister’s play kitchen than his own toys, I decided he needed something of his own that held his attention. I purchased a few Thomas & Friends Train Sets, extra track connectors, extra cars, and extra engines. He loves the trains and now plays with them most of the time, his sister enjoys playing with him and helps him learn how to lay out the track. along with his Mom, Dad, and Grandparents.

I bought this for my 2-1/2-year-old grandson for Christmas. The moment it came out of the box, all other gifts, wrapped and unwrapped, were ignored. He played with this train for hours! His parents tell me he and his 5-year-old brother have played with it every day since.
The track is well constructed and easy for little hands to arrange and rearrange. All other components seem to be durable, as well. This set is enough to be entertaining, but it’s nice to know I can add more track and components to this set in the future.
