Are you kidding me? Thomas the Train is fun for kids but no fun for adults. These are the most grossly overpriced kids toys around! I recommend Veggie Tales products or anything made by the Japanese toy company “Maisto.”

We bought Emily because my daughter loved the Five New Engines video. Unfortunately, there must be fine print somewhere that says these new die-cast trains do not fit on the old tracks. We also have a new set of Clarabel and Annie, and they have the same small-wheel base issue.

we bought our oldest son the thomas roundhouse set for christmas, and added emily for his birthday. emily is on par with the other trains (in quality and detail), and is a good addition to any set.

Emily is beautiful engine with shiny paintwork and gleaming brass fittings. After she rescued Oliver and Toad when they were stuck on the tracks, Sir Topham Hatt rewarded her with a brand new pair of coaches.
Emily is a very attractive hunter green engine with brass-like paint and yellow trim. She has an unusual larger wheel in the middle of her engine, and comes with a tender (attached with a magnet) that is filled with “coal”.
She’s one of the larger engines, and rare in that she’s one of the only females on the Island of Sodor. My son enjoys playing with her and she’s very sturdy!
